Brendon has released The Butterfly Song as his latest single. Taken from the recently released album, Hold My Hand, the single epitomises Brendon's eclectic sound.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Syd Barrett, Cat Stevens and Nick Drake, Brendon has produced a track that wouldn't seem out of place in the psychedelic pop landscape of 60's Britain. Whimsical, emotive and emotionally moving, The Butterfly Song offers a serenity and beauty just in time for those long summer days.

Having been signed to UK Records in the 70's, Brendon has reemerged as an artist in his own right. New album Hold My Hand is a melodic, upbeat collection of songs that are as eclectic as they are memorable.

From the foot stomping Kinks inspired 'Why Am I a Virgin', to the Simon & Garfunkel  'My Picture Of You', and the dreamy 'Every Time'. Hold My Hand is an earnest album full of warmth, effortlessly embracing elements of folk, indie, rock and psychedelia and not unlike his self titled debut album on UK Records in 1975.

The Butterfly Song is available to stream and embed from the Soundcloud link below. Hold My Hand is out now and available to stream on SpotifyiTunesApple Music and Deezer.

London’s art-rock quartet Pace return with the release of their vibrant new single Strange Secrets, out now via AWAL.

Combining sweeping guitars with colourful synths and vintage piano tones, Pace are able to create a sound that is both playful and undeniably infectious. Frontman Jamie Ley’s impassioned baritone soars effortlessly over the eclectic instrumental flourishes, whilst the quartet’s tightly woven harmonies chime in perfectly. Co-written by Justin Young (The Vaccines) and produced by Brett Shaw (Florence & The MachineFoals), Strange Secrets is about having the confidence to stand up for yourself and confront someone, even though it may be difficult. “Losing trust in someone can mess with your mind, but we want people to feel empowered when they listen to the track,” Jamie elaborates. “It's about not being afraid to make tough choices, especially if everything seems weird. You gotta know that things will get better!”

Kaia Vieira shares neo-soul groover The Care Giver!

Kaia.jpg

Ahead of the release of her innovative debut EP Vikārarising newcomer Kaia Vieira has now shared her powerful new single The Care Giver, out now via These Furious Recordings.

The Care Giver is a celestial groover, combining elements of hip hop and neo-soul to create a sound that is dark and yet beautifully evocative. Talking about the single, Kaia explains, “The Care Giver refers to a guardian figure abusing their position of trust. The figure is seen as this virtuous custodian from the outside but in reality, is ‘plagiarising’ the role of the absent parents. There’s a loss of childhood but there’s also survival, and even hope. It was my first attempt to ‘rap’ and I still wouldn’t call it necessarily rapping – I just wanted to tell a story more directly and it served the song to do it.”

Vikāra is out on 29th May 2020 via These Furious Recordings. Pre-save Vikāra now.
