Bad Love share alt.pop banger Cashmere Tears!
Manchester based three-piece, Bad Love, return with their latest single, Cashmere Tears.
The self-styled ’Sad-Boy Pop’ band have cultivated a sophisticated alt.pop sound. Following in the footsteps tread by artists such as LANY and MUNA, Bad Love have interweaved contemporary anthemic pop segments with the nuanced, emotive songwriting of new wave bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode.
Cashmere Tears brings all these elements together as Bad Love continue to explore a sophisticated synth-pop sound characterised by mesmerising hooks and tender socially conscious lyricism. Cashmere Tears is a story of watching someone who used to dream big, but is destined to repeat the same mistakes in life, as they are continuously drawn back to a toxic relationship. The song also takes aim at flaws within society, contesting the antiquated notion that women are supposed to be peacekeepers for A-typical masculinity.
Consisting of frontman, songwriter and producer Andy Gannon, Tommy O'Neill and Ben Tansey, Cashmere Tears follows recent single A Place For Me which gained the attention of musical tastemakers such as Clash Magazine, Variance Magazine, Clout, Indie Is Not A Genre, LA On Lock, Talk About Pop Music and many, many more. With a plethora of singles planned for 2021, and having recently signed to the AWAL+ platform, Bad Love are aiming to finish 2020 on a high.
