Accompanying the 12 songs are a collection of 12 short stories; intertwined with the music, intended for consumption alongside it. Of the project Peter Kelly says, “At some point in the writing of Silver Cords, I decided the record would live in a book and that each song would be accompanied by a short story inspired by its lyrics.”. Emerging dance duo Majestic Minds are back with another vibrant new single, Doing This My Own Way, out now. This is the second single from new the collaborative project, featuring producer Haides and singer-songwriter Marlie. Haides’ slick electronic production is once again out in full force, combined with Marlie’s smooth, R&B-infused vocals to create something undeniably infectious, sounding akin to the likes of Bondax and SG Lewis. Talking about the track, the duo elaborate, "we really love this song because it embodies a positive message that is accompanied by an energetic track. The Magic Lantern shares stunningly cinematic video for Masks!
To celebrate the release of his stunning new album To The Islands, out now via Hectic Eclectic Records, The Magic Lantern has now shared his beautifully cinematic video for album track Masks. The video is simple yet effective and features clown-extraordinaire Thom Monckton of The Kallo Collective(reprising his role from Holding Hands). Drawing on a wide range of influences from folk, jazz and contemporary music, The Magic Lantern is dedicated to remedying the anxiety and fear present in us all. To The Islands was written following a tumultuous journey to Jamie’s childhood home in Australia, after nearly 10 years away, and explores memory and hope in a world of near constant uncertainty.

Birmingham-based multi-instrumentalist Maria Rodriguez - aka MeMe Detroit – returns with edgy new single De Moe, taken from her new EP Life In The Now, out on 23rd November 2018 via SoulRock Central Records. De Moe is inspired by the negativity that seems to emanate from the human mindset due to the way society has moulded us. The EP itself covers themes of everyday life, whilst also giving a subtle nod to one of MeMe’s favourite books ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle.
