Tia Gostelow
"...a potent songwriting style, matching flecks of indie rock to her personal observations." - Clash
“Truth and vulnerability drip from her words like raindrops from a cloud.” - Atwood Magazine
Australian artist Tia Gostelow returns with her uplifting new single, Get To It, out now via AntiFragile Music.
Combining warm melodies with a rich musicality and Tia’s distinctive vocal style, Get To It feels instantly infectious. The singalong chorus allows listeners to completely immerse themselves in the highly relatable lyrics, sounding akin to the likes of Mallrat and Julia Jacklin. Talking about the single, Tia elaborates “Get To It is about not waiting until you think something is perfect to do it, not following the norm and doing things on your own terms. Just getting out there and getting shit done, how you want to do it and not feeling restricted by age or experience. This is a new mindset for me, becoming more self-aware and not allowing my own fears to hold me back and keep me from being the best version of myself, regardless of who likes it or not.”
Having moved to Brisbane, Australia from the regional Queensland town of Mackay, Tia has now fully immersed herself in the Brisbane music scene. She has supported the likes of Ball Park Music, Frightened Rabbit and The Rubens to name but a few and her debut album has already received critical acclaim. Her single Strangers has gained over 4 million streams on Spotify, with her album reaching a collective 10 million streams and counting. Tia has received praise from a number of well-regarded publications including Idolater, Atwood Magazine and London In Stereo to name but a few. With Get To It, Tia prepares to enchant listeners further with her dreamy wonderland of indie-pop.
