Luke Marshall Black

“…subtle, soulful…” - Clash

Scottish songwriter Luke Marshall Black returns with the release of his vibrant new single Tell Your Lover, out on 29th November 2019.

Luke combines crisp electronic beats with powerful piano chords to create a sound that is undeniably entrancing and addictive from the offset. Filled with anthemic hooks, Luke’s smooth, impassioned vocal is able to soar effortlessly, feeling akin to the likes of Haux or Dermot Kennedy. Of the track, Luke explains, “this song is an ‘I’m getting outta here song’. The opening line ‘tell your lover I’ll be gone in the morning’ says it all for me. Its the moment of realisation when you know you’re in an unhealthy relationship and its time to get out.”

Multi-instrumentalist Luke Marshall Black began busking in Glasgow and has since continued to hone his talent for songwriting; a talent that has seen him gone to play at Glastonbury, Dot To Dot Festival2000 Tree’s FestivalColston Hall and Sofar Sounds. He has also received praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, The Vinyl District and contactmusic.com to name a few.

Tell Your Lover is out on 29th November 2019.
