Leopold and His Fiction
“…raw, rocking, guitar-filled…” - Guitar World
Austin’s apoplectic rockers Leopold and His Fiction return with the release of their raucous new single, It’s How I Feel, out 22nd July 2020 via Big Indie Records.
Combining classic and blues rock sensibilities, It’s How I Feel is brimming will attitude from the offset, feeling instantly reminiscent of the likes of Iggy Pop and Idles as a result. The single deals with self-realisation and taking a stand for something important to oneself. Talking about the inventive video for the single, frontman and guitarist Daniel Leopold explains, “self-realisation, the importance of finding comfort in ones own skin regardless of outside influence. The importance and availability to change. Taking your own opinions so seriously, and finding humour in the things that at times are endlessly frustrating and daunting. Puppets.”
Leopold and His Fiction formed in 2005 and they’ve gone from strength to strength ever since. Their critically acclaimed latest album Darling Destroyer received praise from The Austin Chronicle, Classic Rock, God Is In the TV and Songwriting Magazine to name a few. The band have also supported the likes of Gary Clark Jr., Dr. Dog and Dwight Yoakum, as well as previously playing at SXSW in 2017.
