Indie-pop newcomer KTG - aka Katie Gallagher - returns with the release of her vibrant new single, Matches, out 3rd July 2020 via Beardfire Music.

Instantly infectious, the single combines pulsating drum beats with hook-laden guitar twangs and shimmering synths in order to create a sound that is full of energy. Katie’s dynamic vocal is oozing with attitude throughout, sounding akin to the likes of KT Tunstall and Wallis Bird as a result. Talking about the single, Katie explains, "Matches is a fun track about a typical night out when you allow yourself to let go and just enjoy yourself! I’m so proud of this track and can’t wait for the lockdown to lift and dance the night away when safe to do so!”

Originally from Ballymahon, County Longford, KTG has been honing her musical skills since the tender age of five. Now 23, KTG has gone from strength to strength, completing her first nationwide tour of Ireland in 2018 in support of the release of her single Man on a Mission, which placed at No.17 in the iTunes official download charts, before releasing her next single Blue, which placed at No.2 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter charts. Katie’s debut mini-album Searching For Magpies also received praise from numerous well-regarded publications including Atwood Magazine, Hot Press and GoldenPlec to name a few.
