Scottish singer-songwriter Jack Stark prepares to release his captivating new single As Feathers on 30th November 2020.

Jack’s distinctively powerful baritone is at the forefront throughout. It soars effortlessly over intricate guitar twangs and tightly woven harmonies, creating a sound that is undeniably poignant as a result. Fans of the likes of Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes will feel at home here. Talking about the single, Jack explains, “As Feathers is about having to let go of something special, especially if you feel as if it’s become such a huge part of you. If it means becoming who you’re really meant to be. Because maybe along the way you both forgot and became contained by the relationship which has become dry and mundane. We could be better.

Jack currently resides in Edinburgh where he continues to hone his carefully crafted blend of intimate indie-folk. As Feathers is the first single to be taken from Jack’s upcoming album Echobounds, due for release in 2021. A stripped back side project has also been added to his shelf of acoustic curiosities, with Star of the Abeles now being available to stream on all platforms as he tries to come to terms with his urge to write. Jack explains "I think this little record begins about a person and continues that way, but as the minutes go on I can hear there's a subtle evolution in it and it becomes more interested in asking.. why do I do this? What am I doing with this guitar whilst the world sleeps?"
