Gypsy Circus
Gypsy Circus continue to showcase a diversity and richness to their songwriting as they prepare to release the heartfelt new single, A Place To Stay, out on 22nd November 2019.
Ranging from high the octane alt.rock of Holy Lights and Shadows, to the poignant, lo-fi acoustic ballad of the forthcoming single A Place To Stay, Gypsy Circus illustrate their dexterity on each and every new release. Following recent single Thin Ice, a euphoric jangling rock banger, A Place To Stay sees the foursome concoct another striking arrangement.
Opening with beautifully plucked guitar notes, the track is enveloped in the ever impressive vocals of Aaron King. Complimented by King’s clever use of key changes and combined the juxtaposition of the gorgeous female harmonisation, A Place To Stay is a reflective, wistful rock ballad with bittersweet lyrics, infectious in its delivery.
With Michael Mackay (guitar), Shaun Alderman (bass) and Calum Thomson (drums) making up the rest of the band, Gypsy Circus have had an eventful year. Having released the well received EP Holy Lights And Shadows and recent single Thin Ice, the band have picked up support from The Scotsman, Little Indie Blogs, Come Here Floyd, Nicorola, Indie Music Central, BBC Alba and Amazing Radio to name but a few. Latest single A Place To Stay, again highlights their ability to write and perform an eclectic range of emotive rock music, continuing to mark them out as one’s to watch in 2020.
A Place To Stay is out on 22nd November 2019.
