Fox Stevenson

“…mouthwatering…” -  Earmilk

Fox Stevenson explodes back onto the scene with his eclectic new single Lava, out 17th July 2020 via AntiFragile Music.

Not one to be pigeon-holed, Stevenson once again defies genre as he combines pop-punk and alt-pop sensibilities in order to create a sound that is unapologetically tenacious and oozing with energy. Talking about the single, Stevenson explains, “it started off as a sort of homage to Gorillaz, Weezer and early 2000s video game music. It became kind of far removed from the original shoestring vibe, but I’d like to think it still has some of those bones in it. The lyrics are about living in a chaotic world and not really having much of a bearing on anything, so you’re just kinda... there, getting by, melting in the lava of everyday life.”

Fox Stevenson - aka Stanley Stevenson-Byrne - is a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Much of his career has been as a DJ and producer in the DnB scene, until he debuted with his live band and released his more alternative album, Killjoy, in 2019. Since then, Stevenson has gone from strength to strength, having previously received praise from the likes of Billboard, Dancing Astronaut, Earmilk and Clash to name a few. With Lava, Stevenson hopes to captivate listeners further with his most inventive release to date.

Lava is out on 17th July 2020 via AntiFragile Music.
