Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard
“...utterly in thrall to the scrappy, swaggering end of glam rock...” - The Guardian
“...good stuff...” - Noel Gallagher
Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard reinvent rock for the modern age with their fuzz-filled upcoming single, Love Forever, out on 26th July 2019 via Big Indie Records.
Their exhilarating new release takes inspiration from 70s greats such as T. Rex and Thin Lizzy, adding an extra element of scrappy swagger to the fold. Frontman Tom Rees’ distinctive lead vocal feels instantly reminiscent of the likes of Marc Bolan, whilst the raw, reverb-heavy twangs of the guitar take us back into the sweaty 21st century. The quartet’s energy is in full-throttle throughout, showcasing their trademark ability to create compelling garage-pop with maximum fuzz.
Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard began as a bedroom studio project for Tom in late 2016, though since then he has employed the help of his brother Eddie Rees, Ethan Hurst and Zac White. The Welsh band have already received praise from a number of publications including The Guardian, NME.com, DIY and Clash to name a few. The have also received support from BBC Radio’s Huw Stephens, Iggy Pop on BBC 6Music and Noel Gallagher. Fresh from making their Glastonbury debut, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard can be expected to be working up a sweat at even more festivals this year, including Citadel Festival, Latitude, Truefest and many more.
You can also catch the band live when they headline the first ever Big Indie Summer Sessions, in association with The Line of Best Fit, on 31st July 2019 at Pop Brixton.
