BRENDON
Brendon has announced the release of his eclectic new album, Hold My Hand, out on 17th April 2020.
Hold My Hand is a sonic delight that transcends genre. Combining his melodic, upbeat songwriting skills with, at times, poignant relatable lyrics, Hold My Hand finds Brendon on top form as he seamlessly creates an indelible collection of songs.
Kicking the album off with reflective single release and album title track Hold My Hand, the record twists and turns throughout. From the Donovan-tinged psychedelic pop of The Butterfly Song, to the foot stomping Kinks inspired 'Why Am I a Virgin', Hold My Hand strays from the formulaic with Brendon instead embracing spontaneity throughout. 'My Picture Of You' evokes memories of the likes of Simon & Garfunkel and John Prine before flowing into the dreamy 'Every Time'. Hold My Hand is an earnest album full of warmth, effortlessly embracing elements of folk, indie, rock and psychedelia and not unlike his self titled debut album on UK Records in 1975.
Brendon made a splash through the release of disco hit 'Gimme Some', a Jimmy “Bo” Horne cover, released via Magnet Records in 1977. Since returning to his singer songwriter roots Brendon has picked up support from the likes of Last Days Deaf, Americana UK, Fame Magazine, The Vinyl District and Fortitude Magazine.
Hold My Hand is out on 17th April.
