Me & You is the latest single release by Amal Fashanu. Following on from the successful release of debut single Detty December and Lean On Me, the track is another example of Amal’s diverse sound effortlessly combining elements of contemporary R&B, Afrobeat and Latin pop.

Taken from forthcoming debut EP New Beginnings on 1st September, Me & You once again showcases Amal’s versatility as an artist. Her eclectic sound has attracted industry support from some of music’s leading tastemakers with premiere’s launching on Hunger Magazine and Clash Magazine alongside features in the likes of Earmilk.

Known for founding the Justin Fashanu Foundation as well as creating The Black Heart Label, a clothing brand designed to promote activism through fashion, Amal’s love of music has meant a seamless transition into performing. On Me & You Amal collaborates with singer, songwriter and beat maker Manno Beats who adds an extra punch to the production. Multilingual, Amal smoothly incorporates Spanish language into the chorus, a sample of The Fugees ‘Ready Or Not’, offering a sensual counterpoint to the bittersweet lyricism.

Me & You is the third single of four as Amal gears up for her debut EP release. Her unique take on Afrobeat has had a far reaching appeal with press coverage from Iggy Magazine and Indiemore Music in France, Ghana’s Unorthodox Reviews and Brazil’s Roadie Music.
